Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Tofi iOS app and its server (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them, in addition to Apple's standard licence agreement: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

1. Not medical advice

Tofi is a general wellness tool. Calorie and macro estimates, daily targets and Coach Tofi's answers are approximations generated by formulas and AI. They are not medical, nutritional or psychological advice and are not a substitute for a professional.

Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before starting a diet, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, have a medical condition, take medication, or have a history of eating disorders. Stop and seek help if you feel unwell.

2. AI estimates can be wrong

Food analysis estimates portions from photos and text and can miss or misjudge items. Always check the result before saving. Coach Tofi can make mistakes; use your own judgement.

3. Acceptable use

  • Use the Service for your own diet and wellness tracking.
  • Don't try to bypass limits, reverse-engineer the API, automate requests, or use the AI features for unrelated purposes.
  • Don't upload unlawful content or photos of other people without their consent.

4. Fair-use limits

To keep the Service available for everyone, AI features have daily limits per account (for example, a number of food analyses and coach messages per 24 hours). We may change these limits or temporarily pause AI features, for example during an outage or abuse.

5. Your data

Your diary belongs to you and stays on your device; see the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your device's backups. If you delete the app or your data, it can't be recovered by us.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service running but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Features may change. The app's offline features (diary, weight, craving SOS steps) keep working without our server.

7. Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or for decisions made based on estimates or coach answers. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
